Dr. Kathleen Harris is a Doctor of Naprapathic Medicine (DN) with seven years of clinical experience helping patients improve movement, reduce musculoskeletal pain, and achieve greater function in their daily lives. A lifelong New Mexico resident, Dr. Harris earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of New Mexico before pursuing her career in Naprapathic Medicine. She obtained her doctorate of Naprapathic medicine from the Southwest University of Naprapathic Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Harris specializes in connective tissue and myofascial work, soft-tissue mobilization, corrective exercise, movement education, and the management of musculoskeletal pain. Her approach is centered on understanding how the body moves as a whole and identifying the underlying movement patterns and soft-tissue restrictions that may contribute to discomfort or dysfunction.
A particularly important part of Dr. Harris’s practice is helping patients develop stability, strength, and confidence through corrective exercise and movement education. She believes that hands-on care can be most effective when combined with patient education and practical strategies that individuals can incorporate into their everyday lives.
Dr. Harris also has a strong interest in anti-inflammatory nutrition and its role in supporting overall health and wellness. By integrating nutrition education with hands-on care and movement strategies when appropriate, she strives to provide patients with a more comprehensive approach to their health and well-being. Throughout her career, Dr. Harris has worked with patients across a wide range of ages, physical abilities, activity levels, and lifestyles. She is committed to continued professional development and expanding her knowledge so that she can continue providing thoughtful, individualized care to each patient.
I want to help patients find relief, understand their bodies, improve how they move, build confidence, and give them back the ability to enjoy things they want to do.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys. As a lifelong New Mexican, she loves exploring the outdoors and making the most of the beautiful landscapes and activities New Mexico has to offer.
